The new Volkswagen MOIA, a six-seat electric car, belongs to the so-called ride-sharing vehicles that are part of the carpooling transport system initiative. The main idea of the carpooling transportation system is that more people are agreed to use the same transport. The initiative announced at the TechCruch Berlin festival will be launched in 2018, and we should be able to see VW MOIA on the Hamburg streets by the end of the same year.
The driving platform, other than ecological vehicles, is also comprised of services designed to overcome driving prejudices for carpooling. Driving will be contracted and paid through the application, while algorithms are in charge of grouping passengers with similar destinations. The vehicles are designed to enhance personal space, comfort, and convenience. So the new VW MOIA is not a typical electric vehicle, instead of the usual bench, it has individual seats with adjustable USB ports and interior lights which provide a commodity.
MOIA is not just another transport company, but a brand new practical solution for traffic jam and environmental protection.
