Skupina CADCAM že dve leti uspešno sodeluje s podjetjem Mentor Graphics v Sloveniji, na Hrvaškem, Madžarskem, v Bosni in Hercegovini ter v Srbiji. Sodelovanje je bilo vzpostavljeno, ker Mentor Graphics kot vodilno podjetje na področju avtomatizacije dizajniranja elektronike (EDA – Electronic Design Automation) dopolnjuje portfelj Skupine CADCAM in omogoča zagotavljanje polne uporabniške podpore                                                                                                                       tekom celotnega življenjskega cikla proizvodov

Kot rešitev za dizajniranje tiskanih vezij (PCB) Mentor Graphics predstavlja programsko rešitev PADS (Personal Automated Design Systems). Ko govorimo o PADS, govorimo o celotni platformi, saj današnji razvoj tiskanih vezij ne vključuje le shem in postavitev elementov (Schematic, Layout), temveč se tekom razvoja uporablja številne simulacije in virtualne teste za zmanjšanje števila potrebnih prototipov in skrajšanje časa, ki je potreben za ročno testiranje ustreznosti končnega proizvoda. PADS znotraj svoje platforme vključuje popolnoma integrirana orodja za: integriteto signalov (Signal Integrity), integriteto moči (Power Integrity), električni DRC (Design Rule Check), termalne analize, dizajn za proizvodnjo in sestavljanje (DFMA) in integracijo s programskimi rešitvami za mehaniko.

Schematic Design

PADS schematic design is intuitive, making the capture and definition of schematic simple and fast.


Analog Analysis

Analog analysis ensures the functionality of design before proceeding to physical layout. PADS includes easy to use SPICE analog simulator.

Signal Integrity Analysis            

Singal Integritiy consists of Pre-Layout Analysis and Post-Layout Analysis.

Pre-Layout simulation enables to predict and eliminate signal integrity problems early, enabling constraint routing, stackup planning, optimal clock and critical signal topologies and terminations prior to layout.

Post-Layout simulation analyze signal integrity and timing at three important points in design flow:
1. After part placement
2. After critical net routing
3. After detailed routing of the entire board. 

                         

PCB Layout

PADS Layout enables to easily design printed circuit boards, both simple and complex – high-speed, analog and/or digital or RF.

Thermal Analysis                                                            

Thermal Analysis allows user to analyze board-level thermal problems on placed, partially routed, or fully routed PCB designs.

Routing

PADS allows to use Interactive routing or Autorouting.

Interactive routing enables and disables features such as trace and via plowing, smoothing, pad entry, and trace-length monitoring, as you route.

Autorouting contains functions for high-speed applications, such as differential pair routing, includes unique rule assignements and automatic tuning of groups of nets to met min/max length and matched-length constraints.

Design for Manufacturing Analysis    

DFM analysis detects manufacturing problems they occur, in fabrication or assembly.
